Commercial Putting Greens

The Amenity Residents Actually Use

Office campuses, apartment amenity decks, restaurant patios, hotel rooftops. A putting green is a five-minute break residents take on their way home. That is a real amenity, not a marketing photo.

Short answer

Commercial greens go into amenity spaces where a property wants a visible, low-maintenance feature: multifamily courtyards, office campuses, senior living communities and hospitality decks. They use putting-specific nylon over a contoured base, the same build as a residential green, sized and detailed for shared use.

We install commercial greens across the Austin metro. Roof permits, HOA approvals and property management coordination are handled by us. Residential greens are covered on the backyard putting greens page.

Two Install Types

Rooftop Mini-Greens and Ground-Level Greens

Rooftop Mini-Greens

Apartment amenity decks and hotel rooftops. Weight-aware base, drainage mat, wind uplift protection. Same rooftop discipline as our full rooftop installs.

Ground-Level Greens

Office campuses, restaurant patios, HOA common areas. Contoured base, real cup positions, fringe collar.

Custom Specs Either Way

Two to six cups depending on space. Contour matched to available square footage. Fringe collar in a longer-pile blend for realism.

What Goes Into a Commercial Green

Putting-Specific Nylon

Different fiber than a lawn install. Putting nylon has a specific pile height and infill weight to produce a true roll.

Contoured Base

Contour is built into the base before turf goes down. Subtle break in the base translates to real break on the putt.

Fringe Collar

The fringe transitions from putting nylon to a longer-pile blend. Looks correct on the property, plays correct on a chip.

Permitting and Coordination

Roof permits, HOA approvals, property management coordination handled by us.

Common Questions

What People Ask About Commercial Putting Greens

How much space does a commercial putting green need?

Less than most property managers expect. A two or three cup green fits in a courtyard or a corner of an amenity lawn. Available space mainly determines cup count and how much contour can be built in.

Can a green go on a rooftop amenity deck?

Yes, subject to drainage and structural load, which are the two constraints on any rooftop install. The green itself is built the same way; getting water to the roof drains is the design work.

What is a stimp reading and do you provide one?

Stimp measures how fast a green rolls. We take an on-site reading at handoff so the property has a documented number for the surface it is getting, rather than a claim.

Can you install outside business hours?

Yes. Off-hour installs are arranged where an amenity space cannot be closed during the day. Tell us at the walk-through so it is in the schedule and the bid.

What upkeep does a commercial green need?

Brushing to keep the nylon upright and the roll true, blowing off debris, and occasional infill top-up. No mowing, watering or chemical treatment, which is usually the reason the property chose it.
